Look at this transformation! I'll be replacing the belt soon, and then comes the test sew.

This machine hasn't been used in decades, and had thick layers of dust and grime from being stored over an air vent. I can't wait to get started! It didn't take long to realize that this wouldn't be a quick job, and the customer graciously gave me permission to take the machine home.

I'm really proud of this one. From rusty doorstop to sewing like a dream!

The Singer 404 is cleaned up and everything is moving. Next, I need to clean and rewire the pedal.

This poor lady was stored outside and was so frozen up I couldn't even turn the handwheel. After a good long chemical soak she's starting to come back to life, and I can't wait to sew with her! Take a look at these "before" photos I'll be back when I've made some more progress
